Week 13 Waiver Wire

Trevor Lawrence (ESPN 59% Yahoo 61%)

Lawrence has come up big dick swinging the past 2 weeks. Against the Ravens in a crazy game, Lawrence arm got it done with over 300 yards and 3 TDs. This is against a Ravens secondary that I thought finally was getting it together. Lawrence faces off against the Lions this week who allowe the most FPPG to QBs. This is a great add if you been riding with Murray who is on a bye or if you have a QB that’s banged up

Jimmy Garoppolo (ESPN 48% Yahoo 65%)

As much as Jimmy G knows how to win games, his fantasy numbers don’t always translate the same way. He has one performance inside the top 8 this season, but he could absolutely make it a 2nd against the Dolphins. The Dolphins have been involved in multiple shootouts this year, having one of the most polished and elite passing attacks. The 49ers have the player to keep up with the Dolphins offensively, and Jimmy G will have to rely on them. Miami has allowed the 3rd most FPPG to QBs this season so Jimmy is in a great matchup this week.

Deshaun Watson (ESPN 42% Yahoo 56%)

The time has finally come. One of the best QBs is finally seeing the field after a chaotic last 2 years for Watson. Between his legal and poor personal choices to a fully guaranteed contract, Watson will face his old team the Texans. The Browns passing game has been fantastic under Brissest with Cooper/People-Jones supplying a great 1-2 punch. Watson could have some rust to start off the game but ultimately will be fine. The Browns have a favorable schedule in the fantasy playoffs (Ravens, Saints, Commanders) and absolutely should be picked up as the top guy of this list.

JaMychal Hasty (ESPN 1% Yahoo 2%)

Hasty stepped in Sunday when RB stud Etienne left the contest with a foot injury. The severity of Etiennes foot injury is uncertain right now, but let’s not forget he missed his whole rookie season with a foot injury. Hasty was given most of the workload with 12 carries for under 30 rushing yards but most of his damage came through the passing game. 5 catches 67 yards and a receiving TD. If Etienne misses anytime, obviously Hasty is a priority pickup.

Samaje Perine (ESPN 38% Yahoo 61%)

Mixon missed his week 12 matchup against the Titans after leaving his week 11 matchup early with a concussion. He missed practices this week and we know how strict the concussion clearances are now. Mixon is expected against to return against the Chiefs this week, but always prepare for the worst.

Zonovan Knight (ESPN 0% Yahoo 0%)

RB injuries and other issues have plagued the Jets this season. With Robinson being a surprising healthy scratch, Carter was prepared for a field day but left his matchup early because a sprained ankle. Possibly by the time this article hits you, we will know the severity of it. Knight and Johnson paved the way but it was the rookie Knight who caught the eye. Over 100 total yards with 15 touches on the day. In college he was known for his pass catching abilities, which was on display against the Bears.

Kyren Williams (ESPN 18% Yahoo 35%)

The Williams drum has been slowly and lightly been beating for weeks. He added 14 touches against the Chiefs, which is now his most on the season. Henderson is gone and Akers was delegated to a backup duty, a week after having 14 carries. With the state of the Rams QB and offensive line situation, I’m not sold on any Rams RB but If you are in need of depth Williams is a fair waiver target

Zay Jones (ESPN 31% Yahoo 23%)

Zay Jones is a player many have slept on this year. He has been productive and a favorite of Lawrence’s this season with 79 targets on the season. Jones hit over 8+ targets 6 times this season and had a career high 14 against the Ravens. It was career highs all day with 11 catches and 145 yards. Week 13 the Jags take on the Lions which makes Jones a fantastic start this week.

Elijah Moore (ESPN 33% Yahoo 26%)

Life is good again for Jets fans but moore importantly for Jets pass catchers. The savior Mike White resurrected from the bench, bringing a whole new energy to Metlife. Although Moore had just 2 catches he made them count, 64 yards with a trip back to the endzone. It’s been almost a year since Moore’s last TD trip but we could see more of this moving forward with the talents of Mike White. Jets have a nice schedule rest of the way.

Tyler Conklin (ESPN 32% Yahoo 18%)

See White and Moore above. It’s clear as day when you see Conklin numbers with Zach Wilson, and Conklins numbers without. the byes are back for the next 2 weeks and Conklin is a great option week 13 against the Vikings who have had trouble guarding this position all season.

Juwan Johnson (ESPN 37% Yahoo 47%)

Johnson had his worst game of the season with 2 targets and no catches. That is not going to have me forget how great he has been this season. Before this game he had 5 TDs in his last 5 games finishing as a top 6 TE in that time. Looking ahead he has a great playoff schedule against the Falcons, Browns and Eagles.
