Week 12 Waiver Wire Targets

Gardner Minshew (ESPN 7% Yahoo 13%)

Minshew has not been efficient his past 3 games, but he has faced challenging defenses in the Saints, Panthers and Patriots. Minshews future opponents ease up with matchups against the Bucs and Titans. The Bucs have allowed the 4th most FPPG to QBs and should bring Minshew back to fantasy relevancy as a solid streamer.

Other options: Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield

Zach Charbonnet (ESPN 32% Yahoo 44%)

Top Waiver Wire Targets by far. Walker seems to suffered an Oblique injury, which is brutal for RBs. These injuries can leave RBs sidelined for weeks and possibly an IR stint. Charbonnet was drafted in the 2nd round and has seen an uptick in playtime the last few weeks. 6 rushes on 44 yards with 4 catches was his final stat line, with more than 10 touches surely to come week 12 against the 49ers.

Keaton Mitchell (ESPN 35% Yahoo 58%)

The Mitchell train hasn’t taken off like some of us hoped, but the production is still evident. 9 touches on 41 yards isn’t going to make much of a dent in your fantasy lineup, but the Ravens willingness to give him a solid role in the offense is encouraging. Gus Edwards is continuing to own redzone carries, but it is Mitchell with the breakaway and homerun threat. I still want him in all my leagues.

Chuba Hubbard (ESPN 50% Yahoo 63%)

We saw Miles Sanders take on a higher workload compared to the last month, but Hubbard still saw 10 rushes. He has at least 9 Carries in the past 7 games and still could be the lead guy for the Panthers. The offense in Carolina is stagnant, but the Panthers must lean on there running game with the rookie RB.

Other options: Royce Freeman, Salvon Ahmed, AJ Dillon(owned in a ton of leagues), Tyler Chandler

Khalil Shakir (ESPN 6% Yahoo 11%)

Shakir was targeted 3 times for 3 catches. His biggest was a 75+ yard TD pass. Shakir has seen 4+ targets 4 of the last 5 games and has shown more consistency than Gabe Davis. Once Dawson Knox was injured the Bills went away from 2 TE sets, and began to lean more on 3 WR sets. This has increased Shakirs playing time.

Jayden Reed (ESPN 19% Yahoo 36%) Romeo Doubs (ESPN 39% Yahoo 54%)

I’ll continue to push this because this was one of my hottest preseason takes. Watson was never a slam dunk WR1 for this team. Love hasn’t helped the situation, but other Packer WRs have stepped up to the occasion. Reed and Doubs have 11+ points in 4 of his last 5 matchups. Doubs snagged his 7th TD of the season while Reed recorded his 5th. I may give the slight edge to Reed but either way they both can be added to your depth.

OBJ (ESPN 44% Yahoo 29%)

It pains me to give this guy any credit, but OBJ has been fantasy relevant these past 3 weeks. He recorded more fantasy points these past 3 games compared to his first 6. 2 TDs in the last 3 and on TNF recorded his first 100 yard game of the season. He was banged up in the contest with a shoulder injury, but should be good to go against the Chargers in week 12.

Tutu Atwell (ESPN 25% Yahoo 26%)

Tutu saw his name picked off the waiver wire earlier in the season when Kupp was on the IR. Surprise surprise, Kupp was hurt once again, given Atwell adequate playing time. Kupp ankle injury is seemed to be no serious, but if he misses week 12 against the Cardinals, Atwell has flex appeal.

Other options Noah Brown, Josh Downs, Rondale Moore

Isaiah Likely (ESPN 1% Yahoo 3%)

Brutal loss for the Ravens(and my fantasy team) with Mark Andrews out ROS. Likely was a name that was a hot sleeper candidate last season. He’s really been nonexistent this season, but will certainly be given a huge workload moving forward. Lamar has always looked for his big man in the middle of the field, so hopefully Likely can fill that void.
