Week 13 Must Starts: It’s now or never!

What up GCF Fam?! We are back early this week to give you our Must Starts before Thanksgiving Day. Just so our new readers are clear, we do not put your typical stud guys in these types of posts unless there has been heavy concerns or questions about them recently. Clearly, Patrick Mahomes and Christian Mccaffrey are “must starts” but you won’t see those types of players here. Just players who we feel will have major performances this week and ones who we feel need to be in your lineup!

We took a bit of a hit last week with about a 50% success rate for our start or sits. We average about a 80% to 90% success rate so lets get back on track shall we? If you have any start or sit questions follow us on twitter @GrandCentralFan, then @ us or DM us for unlimited guaranteed feedback.

Sam Darnold QB vs Cincinatti: Here at GCF we are New York Jets fans and proud of it. However we are not delusional Jet fans. We will tell you when they suck and when not to start one of their players quicker than anyone else. In this case though we are begging you to start Sam Darnold this week in Cincinnati. The Jets are hot and only going to get hotter. Darnold is finding his groove and is becoming a reliable fantasy starter in the process. We feel DArnold can be a top 5 QB this week and he is available on most leagues waiver wire! Do not hesitate; start Darnold with confidence.

Jared Goff QB vs Arizona: We are giving Goff one last shot at redemption here. Going up against the leagues worst passing defense and needing to prove a lot to not only his owners, but hios head coach as well; I expect a big day for Goff. Also for the rest of the Los Angeles Rams as well. If he does not produce this week for you, he never will. It is do or die for Goff owners and if you need a win for to make the playoffs streaming Goff may be the surprise play that sneaks you in there!

Nick Foles QB vs Tampa Bay: Foles is ready to breakout this week. His third game back from injury will prove to be his best one of the year and going up against a horrid pass defense in Tampa Bay, I think Big Dick Nick will put up close to 300 yards passing this week and at least 2 touchdowns.,

David Montgomery RB vs Detroit: We have been fading Montgomery for the past three weeks since we predicted his back to back breakout games earlier this year. But now we are back on the Montgomery train and hoping for a monster game in Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions run defense has been terrible, and with the Bears still unwilling to trust Trubisky, I expect Montgomery to run a lot this week. Tarik Cohen is also a sneaky flex play here.

Miles Sander RB vs Miami: Sanders put up solid fantasy production with low end flex like numbers against Seattle at home. This week he gets a dream matchup against the Dolphins and Doug Pederson will look to use Sanders as the key component of this offense. The Eagles are banged up, there is no doubt about that. And with Howard likely out again this week, Sanders is the best offensive player on their roster that is healthy. I see big things for Sanders this week with at least two touchdowns and high end RB2 value.

Ronald Jones II vs Jacksonville: The USC product is int he middle of a breakout year. Finally getting the respect he deserves from the league as well as our staff at GCF we are ready to finally bring RJ2 back into the “Must Start” category. With a nice matchup vs the Jags, RJ2 should put up some solid high end RB2 numbers. His success, as always, hinges on if Jameis Winston can keep it together long enough to get him the ball, but regardless we love RJ2 this week.

Jonathan Williams RB vs Tennessee: We told you to start Williams last week. Bigger media outlets like ESPN told you to start his backup Wilkins. Moral of the story; LISTEN TO US AT GCF! We have a better success rate than some of the more high profile guys int he industry. And this week we are rolling with the Colts running back for another big game. He may have trouble finding the endzone, but the yards will be plenty for Williams and he is a flex play with huge upside.

Davante Adams/Marquez Valdes-Scantling WR vs NYG: We are already getting the messages sent to us via DM and tweets: Should you bench Davante Adams? Short Answer; Hell No. Long Answer; Adam’s has not been as good as advertised this year, with the injury and lack of production. He has pissed a lot of people off, but this is the week his owners cash in in a huge way. And MVS have suffered a similar fate. Drafting him to be a solid WR3 or flex play; they have been extremely let down with injuries and inconsistent play. this week the WR duo draw the New York giants. Statistically the 31st worst defense against the pass. This is a get right game for the Packers and they will “get right” in a major way.

Dede Westbrook WR vs Tampa Bay: Westbrook has been building up to breaking out over the past two weeks and this being his third week back from injury, and third straight week with Nick Foles, I am expecting big numbers from him. Westbrook should be able to find the endzone here and will be targeted heavily through out this one as both defenses are not too good right now. And p.s. if you’re not starting DJ Chark, you should be!

D.K. Metcalf WR vs Minnesota: Okay, so follow me here. Last week we had D.K. as our start of the week, and he busted all over the place. BUT he had ample opportunity and dropped two balls that would have been touchdowns! Metcalf gets a surprisingly great matchup against the Vikings who are an incredibly overrated defense right now. look for Metcalf to bounce back from his dropitis and put up high end WR2 numbers.

Cooper Kupp WR vs Arizona: Kupp has a combined 88 yards in his last three games. Compare that to his game before the bye in week 7 when he had 220 yards just in one game, and it will make his owners feel sick. Regardless, the fact of the matter is that it is not Copper’s fault here. He is hitting his routes perfectly and getting open downfield, and in the slot, but Goff can not seem to get it too him. The Rams are virtually eliminated from the playoffs with the NFC being so good, but this week against the Cardinals offers a good matchup for both Goff and Kupp. Look for Kupp to return to his WR1 status this week!

Julian Edelman WR vs Houston: We hated Edelman last week, but he ended up having a solid game. In retrospect we should have known the Cowboys wouldn’t be able to totally shut him down. Now we turn our attention to this week against Houston. A game I have the Patriots losing. However, Edelman is guaranteed to get a score this week against this some what over rated Houston defense. Start him in your flex or WR2 with confidence.

Gerald Everett TE vs Arizona: Another Ram makes the list, but this time it is the frustrating tight end Everett. After saving many fantasy owners suffering from the bye-week-itis two weeks ago, Everett has been complete dud. This week he faced the worst defense against tight ends and should see heavy red zone targets from Goff.

Kyle Rudolph TE vs Seattle: rudolph is hot and a clear must start in all formats. He makes our list this week for his potential to possibly be the highest scoring tight end of the week against a Seattle defense that is so far removed from being referred to as “The Legion of Boom” that it seems like that squad played 50 years ago. Rudolph will put up monster numbers this week.

Jack Doyle TE vs Tennessee: Doyle got a couple good looks last week, but failed to really turn them into anything big. That may all change this week against a vulnerable Tennessee defense that has issues with tight ends. the Colts do not love to throw it, but when they do this week a lot fo the balls will be going in Doyle’s Direction.

Green Bay Packers Defense vs NYG: Green Bay looked like they would be a top five defense at the beginning of the year, but now they find themselves available off the waiver wire in the last week of the season. If you are desperate go with the PAckers this week on the road against the Giants. Daniel Jones also known as “DaNnY DiMeS” according to most Giants fans is a turn over machine, and I expect the Packers to get right in a major way against this dumpster fire of a franchise.

Cleveland Browns Defense vs Pittsburgh: The Browns are still available in a healthy amount of leagues and this week they get to go up against their hated rivals the Steelers for the first time since Myles Garrett tried to murder Mason Rudolph. The Browns put up big numbers against this offense last time they played and I am expecting the same type of production. No Garrett hurts the cause for Cleveland, but with the Steelers quarterback situation being the dumpster fire it is, I expect a pick six or two for the boys in Cleveland.

Carolina Panthers Defense vs Washington: The Panthers are another defense that has been solid in recent years, but disappointed this year. This week we get them readily available in most leagues and ready to have a solid impact against the Redskins. Stream them with confidence.
