It looks like our guy Saquon Barkley has caught a ankle injury today during practice. Reports are that the fantasy football stud “limped off the field” and intot he locker room before returning to the sideline, but not participating in any more drills. The Fantasy Football community is collectively holding their breaths right now, hoping that Saquon makes a full recovery in time for Week 1.

This is scary guys. If he misses time we may now have to label one of the most valuable fantasy players injury prone. The dreaded title is something nobody wants, but it seems Saquon and his lower body may not be able to keep up with the demands of staying healthy in today’s NFL. We may be going to far right now exploring the worst case scenario, but we need to be careful going into our drafts days.

As of now the Giants are being tight lipped about the status of Barkley and we hope that is not a sign of bad things to come. Going into fantasy drafts I think you have to at least move Ezekiel Elliot into the two spot over Barkley. It is still early, but we have to be cautious with our first pick. Yet, the third year back should not be drafted out of the top five. Worst case scenario he misses a few weeks, and you have to worry about him maintaining his health long term. I would take CMC, Zeke, and Henry over Barkley if this injury turns out to be something that causes him to be limited.

As Always GCF Fam. We Got Your Back.
