Week 8 Must Starts!

We are back at it again GCF Fam! Let’s jump right in here!

Carson Wentz QB vs Dallas:

This one is pretty straight forward GCF Fam: Wentz plays the Cowboys. Any player that goes against the Dallas defense is a must start these days. Wentz has taken it to another level in recent weeks putting up over 300 passing yards and 3 total touchdowns. In fact, Wentz loves to get loose for some rushing touchdowns, totaling rushing touchdowns in 5 out of 7 games this year. Wentz is shaping into a Fantasy Football asset we thought he could be and this is the week to start him!

Joe Burrow QB Cincinnati vs Tennessee:

Burrow broke the bell out last week against Cleveland passing for over 400 yards(!) and 4 total touchdowns. The number one pick is proving that his run at LSU was absolutely no fluke. This week he gets a much tougher matchup in Tennessee but we still love him for your fantasy lineup this week. Tennessee’s secondary is basically the middle of the road and their defensive line is known to give up some big plays. Burrow has some of the best young weapons in the like with Boyd and Higgins, and we feel like he is going to continue this hot streak. He won’t hit 400 yards again, but he will surely get you around 22 to 26 fantasy points. And we will take that any day.

Boston Scott RB Philadelphia vs Dallas:

One of our must starts last week makes the list again as he draws the infamous Dallas matchup. We spoke about why we love all the Eagles players in the Wentz section of this blog, and the reason remains the same. Scott gets a chance to have a big day against a defense that historically struggles with everything a defense has to do to be competitive. Scott should find the end zone like he did last week and total some solid yardage bringing him to high end RB2 status.

Jonathan Taylor Indianapolis RB @ Detroit:

Taylor and the Colts are back off the bye and we feel like he is primed to have a breakout second half of the season. JT hasn’t quite lived up to his rookie of the year predictions but he has been a solid RB2 so far this year. This week he gets a really good matchup against the Detroit defensive line that has a major issue with stopping the run. Taylor is also consistently getting his targets out of the backfield which makes him even more intriguing in PPR formats. Start Taylor with confidence this week.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB vs New York Jets:

There has been much made of our guy Le’Veon Bell joining the star studded squad in Kansas City. While we like bell for the rest of the season let’s be clear: this is Clydes job moving forward. This week we love CEH against the Jets and we expect him to put up high end RB1 numbers. Don’t let anyone talk you out of starting CEH ever. He’s a must start this week and moving forward.

Leonard Fournette RB Tampa Bay @ New York Giants:

Fournette returned triumphantly last week against Las Vegas and the former LSU standout showed why he is the guy to have on your roster in the Tampa Backfield. We expect a huge day in PPR for Fournette with all the injuries in the Tampa WR core. Plug him in your flex or RB 2 with confidence this week.

Brandon Aiyuk WR San Francisco @ Seattle:

With Deebo out and the Niners under attack from the injury bug every where else on the roster, the rookie Aiyuk has been forced into the limelight. He actually does want the motha fuckin limelight unlike Florida rapper smoke purp, And he has been taking advantage of his opportunity. Aiyuk gets a dream matchup against a terrible secondary in Seattle. Go ahead and plug him in your lineup and honestly, it’s time to expect Aiyuk to get low end WR1 numbers.

Diontae Johnson WR Pittsburgh @ Baltimore:

DJ has been a favorite of mine all year and now he has proved that he really needs to be the guy you start from the Pittsburgh offense. He has a tough matchup on the road against Baltimore, but the fact remains that if anyone is goin to find the end zone and get heavy targets, it’s a Diontae.

Travis Fulgham WR Philadelphia vs Dallas:

Another Eagle, another time to say: he plays the Dallas Cowboys. Fulgham has truly broken out this year and this week is another opportunity to have a huge game. Plug him in with confidence as he will produce low end WR1 numbers.

Noah Fant TE vs Chargers:

Fant is still a bit banged up but the big tight end is still he silly targeted with a big matchup this week. We like Fant to find the end zone and finish in the top 5 for tight ends this week.

Jimmy Graham TE @ New Orleans:

🔥 take alert! Graham will find the end zone and the Bears will beat the Saints this week! The Saints struggle mightily covering tight ends and we thing Graham will capitalize on that. Start him with confidence boys and girls.

Good luck this week GCF Fam and as usual, we got your back!
