Thanksgiving DFS Special

Happy Thanksgiving you turkey loving sons of bitches! It is that time of the year where we hit you with our favorite DFS value picks on Turkey Day.

I tried my best to refrain from the top tier options (I failed at it) but give you targets of some of the middle-lower tier cost options. This is honestly one of my favorite blogs to post as it usually is a big hit and has faired success.

As always check out our Patreon for the best Fantasy advice in the game as well as constant interaction with our subscribers on the low low!

DFS Thanksgiving value picks

Dak Prescott (DK 6900 FD 8200)

I’m forgoing Josh Allen in all of my DFS leagues for several reasons. First is he is too much money for how crummy he has been. Second he is facing a defense that has allowed only 13 passing TDs on the season ranking in the bottom 10. Prescott seems like the better pick with the discount, which comes due to his recent play and injuries to his star WRs(Cooper and Lamb). Let’s remember, this is Thanksgiving. The Cowboys (and Lions) are Thanksgiving football. Prime time is where Dallas loves to be. It also helps that the Raiders the past 2 weeks have looked completely lost on defense. Even with all the injuries on the Cowboys offense I still am feeling a solid Dak performance.

Andy Dalton (DK 5500 FD 7200)

It’s a Ginger Thanksgiving miracle. Andy Dalton back in action, starting for da Bears. With Fields hurt, Dalton gets the nod and rightfully so. When Fields went down last week Dalton channeled is inner Red headed super powers and brought life to a lifeless offense. I have been saying all year that if Dalton somehow steps back into the starting role the Bears offense will be more productive all around given his veteran leadership and experience. I do not expect Dalton to walk all over the Lions. This division matchup I truly think is a close game but with Dalton at the helm I think the offensive has success moving the ball down the field with legitimate threats. He is one of your cheaper options of the 6 starting QBs but presents great value especially if he is paired with Darnel Mooney.

D’Andre Swift (DK 7300 FD 8000)

This is a no-brainer folks. Even with him being one of the higher cost guys on Thursday, he has to be in your lineup. I put Swift here because sometimes with daily fantasy we try to get too cute. It’s alright to get cute as you have to when you get down to your last dollars and cents but just don’t fuck this up. Shut up and pay up for one of the best Fantasy RBs in the game.

Zach Moss (DK 4700 FD 5700)

After starting the season has the top back to own from Buffalo, Moss has come back to earth and even is getting his playing time cut into by 3rd stringer Matt Breida. Moss also is facing one of the toughest opponents defending the rush. You are probably asking yourself why the fuck is he a value pick, which is fair. I think Allen will have more success moving the ball this week after getting smacked around in Week 11. I’m not thinking Allen starts slinging the ball around like vintage Montana but he should have an above average game. Who is the Bills redzone RB? You guessed it Zach Moss. We all would of bet on Allen being that guy again but no Zach Moss is handling over 40% of those opportunities while Allen is below 30%. I think Moss TD upside in the redzone makes him a solid value play when looking at his price tag.

Hunter Renfrow (DK 5600 FD 6200)

I touched on Renfrow on our Week 12 blog and a few weeks ago on our Patreon for subscribers only. With Ruggs currently playing who dropped the soap, Renfrow has had his target share increase (minus last weeks catastrophe. Dallas has been average against pass catchers this year despite how much Dallas fans want to believe they are great. Renfrow is a target machine and will certainly have the opportunities to turn in a fine performance. He has 2 TDs in his last 3 games and will look to build on that during the mid game.

Darnell Mooney (DK 5700 FD 6800)

I mentioned before if you go down the Dalton route, you have to pair him with the lone bright spot in Chicago’s offense. Mooney is almost taking that Allen Robinson role of years past, thriving with whoever he has taking the snaps. Since Week 6 Mooney has the 18th most fantasy points for all WRs in PPR. That’s including a bye week in that time and some tough secondaries. The lions secondary is decent at best, nothing to be scared over. I am actually quite surprised at his price, thinking it would be a little higher. Take it and wish for the best.

Cedrick Wilson (DK 3700 FD 5600)

Cooper aka unvaccinated is sitting out a 2nd straight game due to his positive test result from last week. His stud teammate Lamb may join him off the field considering he hasn’t been cleared yet due to concussion. At first glance you have to think Lamb is held out on a short week but that honestly could mean nothing. Gallup should fall right into the top role but it’s an automatic start for me with Wilson if both top guys remain out. With Gallup out earlier in the season Wilson has found success multiple times as the 3rd WR option. With an increased target sure surely coming his way, he should be one of your top targets in DFS.

Cole Kmet (DK 3700 FD 5000)

A lot of things are saying don’t draft this guy. The Lions play fairly well against tight ends. His usage dropped badly this week. He hasn’t lived up to his first round hype. I am hear to tel you Andy Dalton might be the best thing to happen to pass catchers for Chicago. With Dalton under center Kmet surely will get an uptick in Targets. If you spent your money everywhere else but this position, Kmet might be a nice buy-low option.

Juwan Johnson (DK 2600 FD 4500)

I am a man who likes to spend his money on everything else but a tight end! Trautman was just trending up when boom, takes an injury that will force him to miss several weeks. It seems Trevor Siemen was leaning on the Tight End position a lot more then we have seen all year from Winston and the Saints. We saw JJ put in work week 1 of the season with his redzone TDs and athleticism. Stepping into a starting role could potentially help flash what we once saw from the one-hit wonder.
