Week 4 Waiver Wire

Week 3 was utter chaos! Week 4 we have to right the ship and it all starts with availability on your waivers. As always check out our Patreon which has rapidly grown these pst few weeks do to our success. SIGN UP HERE!

Jared Goff (ESPN 30% Yahoo 45%)

Goff rolled into week 3 as a top 10 QB but failed to reach the same success he had the prior weeks against the Vikings. Still, I feel plenty confidence in Goff and the Lions between the talented play-makers as well as the great offensive line play. Goff should hoover around the top 12 this week with a matchup against the Seahawks and may be a better play then some of your starting QBs.

Marcus Mariota (ESPN 22% Yahoo 22%)

Mariota has been better than we anticipated for the Falcons. He finally got Pitts involved this week, which is a beautiful thing. He has mustered just 20 yards rushing combined in his last 2 games, but we expect to see that number rise. Against the Browns in week 4 I am expecting big games from Mariota who should exploit the Browns secondary.

Khalil Herbet (ESPN 25% Yahoo 49%)

Herbert will certainly be a hot commodity after his week 3 coming out party after Montgomery suffering an injury. Herbert showed signs of life a few times the first 2 weeks, but Sunday’s matchup brought 150+ yard 2 TD masterpiece. Bears have been dying for a spark on offense and they got one. Week 4 is a solid matchup against the Giants and even if Montgomery is healthy, Herbert will still see plenty of the field.

Jamaal Williams (ESPN 44% Yahoo 60%)

Williams rushing performance may not even be the best thing he did Sunday. He paid tribute to the Key and Peele show by doing a Hingle McCringleberry TD dance and I loved it. I also loved (not) having Williams on my bench while Swift had just 10 touches. Swift clearly is bothered by injury and Williams wreaked the benefit. Even With Swift healthy on the field Williams still gets his fair shar of opportunity. Williams is a must add on your roster either way.

Alexander Mattison (ESPN 37% Yahoo 55%)

We know what happens when Mattison is given opportunity and it looks like we will see more of it. Dalvin Cook finally woke up but unfortunately injury pulled him from the game. The numbers we have seen by Mattison when the starter are virtually comparable to Cooks so he’s a must grab considering Cook could miss some time. Week 4 he grabs the Saints.

Mark Ingram (ESPN 20% Yahoo 26%)

RB injuries are a bitch and AK looked that part Sunday. Ingram didn’t shock the world with his limited usage, but he had some goal line carries and managed a TD. I like several other backs before him but deeper formats he could be an add considering he will have involvement one way or another.

Samaje Perine (ESPN 4% Yahoo 6%)

This is more for Mixon owners. His ankle was sore which may speak to his poor performance but at the end of the game it was Perine holding the rock. I doubt Mixon misses time but if he does Perine is your man. Smart idea to grab Mixons handcuff.

Josh Reynolds (ESPN 0% Yahoo 0%)

The Lions offense is sexy, and I am not afraid to say it. Detroits #2 WR led the team with 10 targets and has been a pleasant surprise to date. Before week 3 he ran close to 90% of routes but has not had a big game to show for it. He does now. Week 4 against the Seahawks, sign me up.

Tyler Boyd (ESPN 62% Yahoo 51%)

Boyd is a vet that every team would die to have. Boyd started his day off with a 50+ yard TD and ended it with a 100-yard day. There are many mouths to feed in Cincy but Boyd still is ready to eat. Clearly Chase and Higgins will take away from him being a clearcut flex start every week, but matchups like the Dolphins in week 4 he has flex value.

Isiah McKenzie (ESPN 15% Yahoo 41%)

McKenzie was being grabbed after week 1 and then went silent last week. Week 3 he flashed yet again with 7 catches on 9 targets with a TD. A young WR playing with possibly the best QB in the game right now, what’s not too like? Week 4 presents the Ravens who have had major secondary issues.

Devante Parker (ESPN 22% Yahoo 25%)

Have yourself a day DP! 5 catches 150+ yards against the secondary I just spoke of. I went hard with Agholor and Meyers this week with Parker playing second fiddle in my rankings but the vet finally put up. Mac Jones injury is contingent on a waiver wire add but if he’s not out super long I think Parker could provide depth in deeper leagues.

Zay Jones (ESPN 8% Yahoo 10%)

Jones was a big name on twitter Sunday morning. Several people have been jumping on the Zay train and we certainly can see why. Jax with the big W against the Chargers and Jones played a role in that. 10 catches on 11 targets for 85 yards and a score. The Jags are going to continue to throw the ball and Jones should have one of the higher target shares.

Greg Dortch (ESPN 7% Yahoo 17%)

Through his first 3 weeks, Dortch has been very consistent. Scoring at least 12 FPPG, Gregory has been a weapon that Kyler has favored. Hollywood Brown had 17 targets which kept Dortch in the background but he has 23 through 3 games. Hopkins returns in a few weeks but Dortch is a guy who should be on your radar.

Romeo Doubs (ESPN 16% Yahoo 25%)

It finally happened. The preseason king finally showed up in the regular season catching all 8 of his targets for 73 yards and a TD. Doubs outworked every other Packer WR, even the Lizard king. Loved what he brought in Sunday’s win. This should be one of your top waiver wire targets in all leagues. A WR for Aaron Rodgers is always a guy you should target.

Mack Hollins (ESPN 1% Yahoo 2%)

After showing up to week 2 with 5 catches for 66 yards, Hollins went HAM this week with 8/158/1. With Renfrow out with a concussion and a few lost fumbles, Hollins could be falling in favor with the Raiders coaching staff. Hollins has been in the league quietly for 6 years may have finally found a steady home. week 4 he faces a tough Broncos defense, but is worth an add nonetheless.

Tyler Conkin (ESPN 11% Yahoo 21%)

This is the Jets tight end I was excited about all offseason. Many jerked off the Uzomah (which has been horrible), but Conklin has been a target machine for the Jets. He led all Jets in recieving yards on Sunday catching all 8 of his targets for 84 yards. Week 4 he gets the Steelers who just let Njoku have a huge day.

David Njoku (ESPN 33% Yahoo 51%)

Speaking of Njoku, we can’t have a waiver wire report this week without mentioning the #2 scoring tight end on Sunday. Njoku started off slow but has had increased usage each week. The Browns pass-catching options are limited so Njoku should continue to have a higher snap count/routes runs.
