Week 9 Waiver Wire

GCF is legit 2 of us, busting our asses each week. We have had a huge success rate with all advice and questions yet again. Do yourself a favor and check out our Patreon right here!

Justin Fields (ESPN 26% Yahoo 41%)

I am truly impressed with Justin Fields and the Bears offense having success. Of course you are getting nothing from his arm, but the Bears realized this and have set up the offense to succeed with all fazes of the running game. Fields has not had less then 47 rushing yards since week 2 and has at least 60 in the past 3 weeks. He’s running more often and more efficient and is. He is scoring with his legs, which is opening up the field for him. The turnovers have been limited and the Fantasy points have been up. Without a doubt in my mind, Fields is the top streaming QB with a matchup against the Dolphins this week followed by the Lions and Falcons.

Kenyan Drake (ESPN 18% Yahoo 31%)

Yet again Kenyan Drake sees the waiver wire. Gus the fucking bus exited TNF with a hamstring injury which paved the way for Drake to be the lead ball carrier. If Gus can’t suit up week 9, Drake has flex appeal week 9 against the Saints.

Caleb Huntley (ESPN 5% Yahoo 4%)

Huntley outperformed Allgeier this week with a season high 91 rushing yards against the Panthers. It was his most efficient game of the year. Cordarelle Patterson could return with the next few weeks, but Huntley could round out your bench in the meantime, in deeper formats.

Khalil Herbert (ESPN 48% Yahoo 64%)

The Bears offense has been, dare I say fun to watch from a rushing stand point. Herbert has been threatening to be the lead back when both stud backs on the field. He has outgained Montgomery for the past 3 weeks and has proved to me he deserves to be in your flex spots. 99 yards and. TD, he will look to take that momentum against Miami

D’Ernest Johnson (ESPN 1% Yahoo 3%)

With the trade line glooming, Johnson looks like a waiver wire candidate. Kareem hunt is on the trading block and we all saw last year when the Browns running backs missed time, Johnson was called upon and delivered. This should be a common trend on the waivers this week. Keep an eye on guys who are traded and see who their back ups are, that have a chance to succeed.

Kyren Williams (ESPN 14% Yahoo 45%)

Many are waiting for rookie Williams to make his first appearance and are putting a lot of hope into him. Whether he takes the starting role or just has a major piece in the offense, I lack faith due to the offensive line. However, we have seen crazier things happen, so if you are hurting at RB and taken several losses, take a flyer.

Joshua Palmer (ESPN 25% Yahoo 24%)

Palmers name has been very popular on our waiver wire targets blog this year. With Mike Williams due to miss several weeks with injury, Palmer is a guy who could be on your radar. We need to see Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense get back to last year‘s success, and Palmer needs to be a part of it. Great matchup upcoming against the Falcons.

Devin Duvernay (ESPN 29% Yahoo 53%)

I have steered away from Devin most of the season, but enough is enough. The Ravens continue to have multiple injuries to the offense, but Devin has stepped up as a consistent member. This last week against the Bucs, Duvernay had a nice fantasy impact with 30 rushing yards and a TD. His next 2 weeks come against the Saints and then a bye, but he has been on the field for the Ravens and could provide depth to the WR position if you are hurting in that department.

Rondale Moore (ESPN 47% Yahoo 35%)

Moore has been a must add these past weeks, 3 of the past 4 weeks he has commanded at least 8 targets and a minimum of 6 catches. The Cardinals offense has looked the best it’s had since Hopkins return last week in my opinion, and that’s with Moore as the WR2. He’s a start for me week 9 against the Seahawks and a priority add if you are looking for a wideout.

Van Jefferson (ESPN 12% Yahoo 24%)

We were told Jefferson would get a normal workload this week in his first game back. To be quite honest, it looks like he didn’t even play when looking at the stat line. With that said, Van Jefferson is a guy I’m keeping my eye on. With the Rams struggles at RB, they are going to have to continue to be creative. Jefferson can help bring some more creativity to the offense. Deeper leagues he is worth a back end claim.

Terrace Marshall (ESPN 1% Yahoo 1%)

Marshall Is another name to look for if DJ Moore is traded. Even with Moore there, Marshall was efficient against the Falcons this week. 4 catches on 9 targets for 87 yards, logging his best game of the season. With Robbie Anderson go on Marshall has been the panthers WR2 and could move up to the top Spot of Moore is traded.

Greg Dulcich (ESPN 34% Yahoo 42%)

Broncos country, let’s ride(cue cringey Russell Wilson voice)! The Rookie missed the first 5 games of the season, but in his 3 games played he ranked inside the top 12 for all TEs. This past week he saw his high in yards with 87 and brought in his 2nd 38+ yard grab in his last 3 weeks. Wilson is targeting him every week and he should be the top TE target on everyone’s mind.

Tyler Conklin (ESPN 16% Yahoo 12%)

Conklin started the season off red hit with Flacco under center and fizzled out once Wilson stepped into play. Conklin led all Jets pass catchers with 10 targets (the most he has had all season) and scored his 2nd and 3rd TD on the season. The Top TE on the week most likely won’t have games like this often, but he should be a factor each week proving to be worth the money the Jets paid for. These next few weeks would be tough if you owned Conklin, but come playoff time, he has possibly the best matchups.
