Week 8 Waiver Wire

Mitch Trubisky is a QB to add if you need help st the position this week. Trubisky has been hot as of late with over 1000 yards and 11 Tds in his last 3 games. At home against an injury plagued Jets secondary, I’m looking for Mitch to keep the motor running. Jets have also struggled to contain QBs in the pocket. Several Qbs have gained several yards with there feet against them. Solid streamer this week.

Jalen Richard & Doug Martin are both players guys you should add if you are hurting at the position or just looking for some depth. The way the Raiders team is construed right now, I’m not expecting the running game to have a huge workload. Doug Martin is the proven veteran who should get majority of the carries but I am more intrigued with Richard. In 4 out of his 6 games, Richard has caught at least 6 passes. With Cooper gone, this opens up more passing opportunities for the young back. Lynch owners, look for either one of these guys for your replacement.

Chris Ivory is a nice streaming option for week 8 against the Pats. Patriots have struggled as a whole on defense and Ivory physical running style can cause stress and havoc. In McCoys absence last week Ivory racked up double digit fantasy points. If McCoy is a no go again and you are looking for a rb off the waiver wire this week, Ivory is your guy.

Raheem Mostert is a name to keep an eye on. His last 2 weeks he has been productive with Breida dealing with injury. The 49ers face a Cardinals defense that has been awful against the run. If Breida is unavailable Mostert will be the #2 back and handle plenty of carries.

Tre’quan Smith is an interesting name to add to the waiver wire mix. He is your typical deep vertical threat option whom is built for boom or bust. His ceiling for boom is sky high. With a Ted Ginn on the IR, Smith saw a very high snap count last week. In an explosive Saints offense, Smith brings lots of value to your fantasy team if you are struggling at the position.

Danny Amendola has been extremely quiet up until these past 2 weeks. His past  2 performances have gave him double digit points. I am not a huge Amendola guy for several reasons but there are some things that catch my attention with him. The Dolphins WR position is a mess right now. Between injuries and guys not happy with the roles they have, it opens up a big window of opportunity for Amendola. If you are really struggling in a deeper league, Danny boy is a good option to have.

Geronimo Allison is a name we heard a lot weeks ago. He was putting up impressive numbers until he was riddled with a hamstring injury. Well after a few weeks out and coming off a bye, Allison is participating in practice. This is a great sign for fantasy teams who held onto him. I’m surprised how little of leagues he is owned in, considering the offense he plays for but more importantly the QB he plays with. If he’s avaiable stash this guy and don’t let him go.

C.J. Uzomah is the bengals tight end with the most to gain. The bengals have been unlucky with this position due to several injuries. The opportunities have been there for the tight end, who has been given an extremely high snap count. If you are in a deeper formatted league with your tight end on a bye, look this way.
