NFL WEEK 8 FANTASY STUDS AND DUDS

Here at GCF we love our followers! We love you guys so much that we want to save you from making DUMB decisions! Here are our STUDS (must start fantasy players ) for this week and our DUDS ( would not touch these players). Let’s go!!

STUDS:

John Brown WR @ CAR- Brown is a MUST START this week and has been for the past few weeks. We are still getting tweets and emails from people with J.Brown and 5 other scrub players asking us to “pick in to start”. Bro…please stop. Brown is the Ravens #1 passing option and against a Panthers secondary that is literally middle of the road (17th in passing defense) look for Brown to have another monster day with AT LEAST 15 fantasy points.

Adrian Peterson RB @ WAS- Another road warrior, Peterson has been the consistent back bone of the of the Washington offensive attack. This team runs the ball down your throat relentlessly and tries to exhaust the defense. We have seen flashes of vintage Adrian Peterson over the season, and we expect to see more of it at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. AP has had at least 96 yards in four of the six games he has played this year. The New York media would like you to believe that the Giants defense is on the rebound, spoiler alert it’s not. Look for AP to give you at least 90 yards and a touchdown this week.

Mitch Trubisky QB vs NYJ- This one is going to be hard to write, but we think Mitch is going to have a huge week at home against our Jets. In his last 3 game splayed Mitch has scored 100 fantasy point combined. That is more than the Kansas City Christ Child Patrick Mahomes. Listen I have no delusions of grandeur here; Trubisky isn’t Aaron Rodgers. But against a Jets defense in the bottom 3rd kf passing defense and Trubisky’s tendency to run when the play breaks down for major yards, look for the young gun to put up at least another 20 fantasy points.

DUDS

Phillip Lindsay RB @ KC- Lindsay is a hot name in week 8. He is going up against a defense that up until last week was one if the biggest jokes in the NFL and his running mate Royce Freeman is out battling an injury. Kansas City defense sucks and Lindsay will get the lion share of the touches. Sounds like a must start right? Wrong. Not starting Lindsay doesn’t have much to do with him rather than it has to do with his team. The Broncos are going to be down early against this Kansas City offense and they will get away from the run early. This game won’t be close and that means Lindsay won’t get the shine some people are expecting him to. Lindsay may get a touchdown in this one, but his overall ceiling gor this matchup is 8-10 points. and that’s being generous.

Jack Doyle TE @ OAK- Doyle is looking to return this week against a terrible Oakland defense. He is being billed as the “go to tight end” for Luck. There’s one problem here and his name is Eric Ebron. Yes it’s true that when Doyle was healthy he nearly doubled Ebron’s targets but here is the thing about targets, you have to catch the damn ball for targets to matter. Ebron is still the TE yo own and he has the touchdowns to prove it. When Doyle was healthy Ebron still got the goal line targets and reeled in 3 touchdowns while Doyle watched and presumably cried in the inside. Pass in Doyle until you see something from him besides Matthew Berry’s monologues about how he gets hard ons for Doyle’s targets.

Lesean Mccoy RB vs NE- Honestly, the shady McCoy days are over. He is an average injury prone running back at this point in his career. Even against the terrible New England rush defense there is ZERO chance McCoy does anything of substance this week Buffalo is a dumpster fire if a franchise and they are going to be out of it so fast you won’t even have time to finish your first beer before you are changing the channel. McCoy has no play making ability right now and you could chalk his uninspired play up to a bad offense and a stale situation yo there in Buffalo but at the end of the day, you will b a lucky to have 6 fantasy points from the once prominent back.
