Week 8 Fantasy Football Value Picks

Last week was my first rough picks of the year. From time to time this will happen, I am only human. I want to remind everyone my value picks do not mean to draft everyone in your daily lineup. Stack those lineups with the most dominant players. When you are running low on money, some of my picks will help you make a profit. Bitch I’m a monster. Lets get this green and then blow it all next week on more gambling you degenerates.

Kirk Cousins (DK 5900 FD 8300) Riddle me this, why the fuck is Cousins outside the top 10 for QBs in draft kings? Saints give up the 5th most passing yards per game, they give up the 5th highest completion percentage and only have 2 interceptions on the year. Cousins is top 5 in passing yards, completion percentage and has thrown just 3 picks. Do I need to remind you that he is at home playing Sunday night, for the whole world to see. The Vikings may have the best 1-2 punch at WR which obviously benefits Kirk. Remind me again why in the baby jesus he is so undervalued?

Tarik Cohen (DK 5800 FD 7100) Since week 4, the top 5 running backs with the most fantasy points on average are Gurley, Gordon, Barkley, Hunt and….Cohen. Most of his damage as we know is done through the receiving game. In his last 3 games he has been targeted on average of 10 times. The Jets are just about middle of the pack against running backs in fantasy. The price is right Bob.

Jalen Richard (DK 4200 FD 5700) If you read our waiver wire article this weel, you know we are high on the young man from Southern Miss. I really do not expect much from the Raiders rushing attack, which most people would probably agree on. What I do expect is the Raiders to play catchup while the Colts continue to add to their lead. Enter Richard, the pass catching running back. With offensive options limited (Cooper traded, Lynch IR) I feel Carr will lean heavy on him. Richard has mostly been limited on the year, but the Raiders clearly enjoy using him in 3rd down and passing roles as hes been targeted 5+ times in his last 4 games. If you blew your load on the Todd Gurleys Richard could be an affordable option for you.

Adam Thielen (DK 8700 FD 8800) for the 2nd week in a row, Thielen comes in on my value picks. For the 2nd straight week he is the top 3 most expensive WR. For the 2nd straight week I don’t give a fuck. In daily fantasy, its always smart to go with a QB/WR duo. We already know from above the Saints struggle against the pass. Adam Thielen has averaged the most fantasy points a game for a WR and has the most targets for a WR by a long shot. Get white lightning in your lineup. Don’t be cheap, spend the bread to make it.

Tyler Boyd (DK 6700 FD 6800) Last week I had high hopes for the young fellow and he let me down. Scratch last weeks game and look at the 5 prior. Boyd averaged over 9 targets and 7 catches a game. He will be playing back at home this week, against a dreadful pass defense. Bucs have gave up the 2nd most passing touchdowns to receivers, so look for Boyd to snag at least one. Boyds price tag comes at a delightful price.

Tre’Quan Smith (DK 4000 FD 5100) The speedster from NOLA is on my radar this week. His low price tag comes with a “boom or bust” tag. In my eyes, if I am stacking up on other positions and I am low with a WR spot available, boom goes the dynamite. The Vikings defense is tied in 2nd for most 40+ yard catches given up. Smith who has a small sample size, seems to be a WR with deep yard catch potential. Be advised of the risk that comes along with this type of player, but with Smith looking like the #2 WR on the depth chart, I think hes a fair play. Great value here.

Chris Herndon (DK 2800 FD 5400) I throw him on here more for the people who use Draft Kings. He has 2 scores in the last 3 games and the Jets are riddled with injuries on the offensive side (Enuwa, Anderson, Pryor cut, Powell). The Bears defense are tied 2nd (with a few teams) in touchdowns given up to tight ends with 4 on the year. If you really want to stack those other positions and go cheap on tight ends (which I love to do) give Herndon a look.

David Njoku (DK 4600 FD 5700) Njoku is really coming out of his shell this year, developing solid chemistry with Baker. In his last 2 contests he has snagged a touchdown. The Steelers defense has played somewhat better the past 2 weeks, but they still have had a rough time going with the tight end position. In Ben the Rapist era, believeland has really struggled. Browns at home have a real chance to knock off the Steelers, and Njoku should play a large role. For the money, hes a good value.
