New York basketball fans should be excited for the the Knicks and Nets rematch at the Garden. The Nets pulled off the 107-105 victory in Brooklyn on October 19th when Caris Levert took Tim Hardaway Jr to the hole in the final seconds. The Knicks are 1-5 but they competed hard in all the games besides the game in Miami. The Nets are 2-3 and have beaten the teams they are supposed to be beating. Other than the Indiana game they lost by 3 or fewer in their other 2 losses.
For the Nets I’m looking for Caris Levert to have a monster game. He dominated the Knicks last time with the last second dagger and is leading the Nets with 21 ppg. Unlike the Knicks number option Levert is shooting 52% and takes smarter shots. I also want to see a big rebounding and shot blocking game from Jarrett Allen. He destroyed the Knicks down last game with 15 11 and 4 blocks.
Mitchell Robinson started his first nba game last game against Golden State. Now that he got the first start out of the way I’m anticipating a huge breakout game from the 20 year old. If coach Fizdale gives him a fair amount of minutes I expect him to block a bunch of shots, and put up a double double. Damyean Dotson has put up double digit points in every game hes played in this year and is finally getting steady minutes. I expect a good shooting night from him as well.
Hopefully we get another entertaining game like last game that comes down to the final seconds.
Knicks aren’t gonna win. They have no depth and they need Porzingis back.
