Sleeping on the Rams? Open your eyes…

With Super Bowl 53 less then a week away it’s time to get serious on our predictions. The Patriots opened as the early favorites to bring in there record 6th championship. They currently are handing the Rams 2.5 points. I’m here to help you not fall into the New England Patriot trap. Not only will the Rams cover but they will win this shit straight out to send Brady back to beantown losing his 2nd straight title opportunity in as many years.

Let’s give the Patriots there credit. Brady has powered this offense as the leader he was destined to be. All year Brady and Nee England was doubted. None of that matters now as he has his offense playing it’s hottest football to date. Sony Michel has been the driving force behind an underrated offensive line. Every year it seems the Patriots get it right on offense. The combination between versatility and skill set from all the positions is truly remarkable. As much as I can appreciate this from a football perspective it’s time to pump the brakes.

The Rams are not your ordinary team. This team has developed a culture shock with its young sensational coach. They possess ELITE players on both sides of the ball. Lets did into there pool of talent.

I gave the Patriots offensive line credit due to its consistent nature. The Rams offensive line consistency is actually better. They have presented all 5 of the same starters every game this season, including playoffs. To accomplish a feat like this into today’s NFL is unheard of. The consistency has fueled them into the dynamic juggernaut they have become. One of the keys to this game is to get Gurley going hard and early (that’s what she said). He is the best offensive player on this team and possibly the best offensive non QB player in the league.

The Patriots have held there own this season against the run but who did they really have to challenge them? Looking at the top 10 rushers in the league, the Patriots had the pleasure of facing one of these gentlemen. His name is Derrick Henry and he rushed for 2 touchdowns that afternoon. The Patriots have not faced a healthy elite RB all year and will have there hands full Sunday with one of them.

The key on the defensive side of the ball is the Dominant force upfront. We have seen in past playoff losses to Brady that the one thing he can’t handle is pressure. His o-line has been remarkable his whole tenure as an NFL QB but in the rare cases they couldn’t match up, it has shown. Led by stud talent like McDonald, Suh, and Fowler, Brady’s coaching staff will have its hands full coming up with a game plan. Belichick could elect to run heavy as he has done in the playoffs successfully. The Rams at struggled to stop ball carriers during the regular season, but guess what? This is not the regular season any more. The Rams have faced the likes of Ezekiel Elliot, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram holding this stellar group under a combined 100 rushing yards.

Sometimes in sports you just have that kryptonite. You are tremendously successful against top esculent teams but just can’t match up with a certain opponent. In my eyes I feel that is the scenario we are dealing with come Sunday.
