Could the Knicks really land Anthony Davis?

Anthony Davis is reportedly on the trading block. His contract is expiring after the 2019-2020 season. New Orleans can’t afford to let another superstar walk after DeMarcus Cousins signed with Golden State (which was a joke even though I somewhat enjoy Golden states dynasty). Anthony Davis is a legit top 5 talent in the NBA and that’s a fact. He was 3rd in MVP last year and is 3rd in MVP this year in my opinion only trailing James Harden and Giannis. The two teams that are always a rumor to get these superstars (and never do) are the New Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers. The one free agent the Lakers did get os Lebron and he may attract Davis but the Knicks have 2 assets that are more appealing than the Lakers.

1. The first round pick. Let’s be real. The Knicks suck. They are a joke of a professional basketball team. They are a top 3 lottery pick so New Orleans may want to pull the trigger on a deal involving a deal with that draft choice. That pick could turn into Zion Williamson who I think isn’t he next best Mega star. It could also turn into Ja Morant who should be a star or RJ Barrett who should be an all-star.

2. The second thing the Knicks have over the Lakers is a potential superstar under 25 and that’s Kristaps Porzingis. Lonzo Ball isn’t even a pube on KPs nutsack with his below average shooting percentages and as good as Ingram and Kuzma are they aren’t as good of scorers and shot blockers as KP. Porzingis can do alot for a 7 foot 3 overseas player. KP would be hard to part ways with for knick fans bc he’s the most talented player they drafted since Ewing (which is pathetic) but getting Anthony Davis could be a real franchise changer

I wouldn’t trade both the the lottery pick and Porzingis for Davis because New Orleans is going to want multiple young players but I’d give them 2 of our 3 rookies, one of the 2 assets I mentioned above, and Tim Hardaway jr of they needed him to make money match. New York won’t get KD without AD.
