You have to knock things down to build it up. Yes correct. So let’s start this process by trading your 26 year old stud wide receiver. Arguably the best wide receiver in the game (when he stays on the field) for pretty much nothing in return. The best offer you could get for a 26 year old bonafide number 1 receiver on pretty much every team in the league is a mid first rounder, a third rounder (not even the best one that the team you traded with had) and shitty safety/kick returner?
That’s it?
There was no offer better than that in the league? Not one? That is an absolute joke.
We can start off with this, yes OBJ, from the outside looking in seemed to be a cancer. All other reports from inside the locker room report the absolute opposite. That’s neither here nor there at this point though. After signing a new contract extension, what was the rush in trading him now? If you really were sold on trading a cornerstone player, a building block to start your foundation on, why not get what he’s worth? This isn’t a 31 year old Antonio “crybaby” Brown. 26 years old. Yes he has had injuries, doesn’t practice every week, etc. He still shows up when he’s physically able (cough, ding dong, cough), and with all his tantrums on the sidelines he still produced.
If your idea of a rebuild is stacking draft picks well then great you win, missions accomplished. Guess the rebuild is over cause now you can draft guys who no one knows how good they will be or if they will work out. Thanks Erick Flowers, you fucking peach. Think about that. You can strike gold with any draft pick yep sure. How many Tom Brady’s are there again? How many Russell Wilson’s? One in fucking billion chance you get a stud with any of these twelve picks. Even with their sixth and seventeenth picksand forget about all the late round picks. I can keep going on and on about this but it will serve no purpose.

I honestly pray for your safety. Saquon as well considering he will face 11 in the box every week. I pray for you. Eli run, get out of here as fast as you can while you can still function. You did enough for us, you don’t owe them there easy way out. Saquon, you are a great player, maybe one of the most talented in the league if not the best all around already. On behalf of all Giants fans, I’m sorry that your youth is going to be wasted in this mess. Wasted by incompetence.
Be prepared everyone. We have a long few years ahead of us before any semblance of a real team exists. My fandom wishes more than anything the prove me wrong. I just don’t see it after the moves they have made in the last week and a half.
