Fantasy Football Mock Draft Round 2

12 Team

Full Point PPR

Lets Mock!

Pick 13. Michael Thomas: The new $100 million man is ready to continue his dominant career going into 2019. Thomas’ career arc is on the same pace as legends like Jerry Rice. The young star will get a lot more looks this year considering the Saints will most likely be playing from behind a lot more this year. Thomas will be getting heavy targets down field which should translate to more touchdowns. This may be the last year you can get him this late.

Pick 14. James Conner: The replacement for Bell thrived in his new role last year. Even though it was cut short by injury he still dis enough to prove his fantasy value. Falling just out of the first round for us here at 14. Nobody knows how the Pittsburgh offense will look without Antonio Brown, but we do have an idea of what it will look like with Conner leading the charge. Conner is a rock solid RB1 as long as he is healthy.

Pick 15. Travis Kelce: Here at GCF we are not huge fans of taking tight ends this early, but Kelce is the exception for me solely because of the reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes. Kelce stayed healthy all year and put up historic numbers for his position. Mahomes may take a step back statistically this year, but I don’t think Kelce will.

Pick 16. Derrick Williams: The D Will respect is hard to come by lately. Some doubt his sustainability fantasy wise, but I don’t. Historically every damn RB in the Andy Reid offense is a monster, and Williams is the next in line. He is a big, strong, versatile back who will get several goal line touches. You’re going to want to grab his handcuffs later on, but do not let this gen pass you by. Williams is a low end RB1 and the last RB1 left at this point in the draft.

Pick 17. Tyreek Hill: Going three straight Chiefs here, but I promise this is exactly where they should be. The predicitions of the KC offense taking a step back are very over stated to me. All the big dogs are going to eat this year, and Hill is one of them. Mahomes biggest deep threat will get HUGE plays for you when you need them the most. He is a great compliment to the RB you hopefully drafted in the fiest round, or you can pair him with a bonafide #1 fantasy WR in the 1st.

Pick 18. Todd Gurley: The downfall of Gurley has been predicted by everyone in the industry. But I’m just not buying it. Gurley was hurt last year toward the end and may have some lingering knee issues, but being the focal point if a Sean McVay offense is goo good if a opportunity to pass up for me. The coaching staff will manage him much more closely in 2019 and I still love Gurley around the goal line. Gurley has top 5 value with an ADP in the 2nd round. Enough said.

Pick 19. Antonio Brown: Mr. Big chest himself is back with a new team and ready to prove the haters wrong. AB is a year older and with a less skilled QB for sure. But, at the end of the day, this is still Antonio Brown we are talking about. I have him sniffing the top 5 fantasy WR when its all said and done. So at 19, I’m ready to capitalize.

Pick 20. Juju Smith-Schuster: The SoCal legend is a trendy breakout pick this fantasy. I love JuJu. His game is awesome, his personality is better, and he has the makings of a super star. But I’m sorry, I am not taking JuJu high this year. The man was a beast last couple years in Pittsburgh for sure, but as the #1 option, facing #1 cornerbacks; how will he fare? I think he will be fine, but the question mark is big enough for me to take a pause. Bottom line AB>JuJu

Pick 21. Dalvin Cook: It has been a tale of two seasons for Cook. His rookie year was a master class in how to break out in the NFL, and his sophomore season showed you how to not live up to expectations. At the end of the day Dalvin has heaps of potential, but his ceiling is lower than other RBs. Especially in that Minnesota offense. Cook is a solid RB2 but I would not be happy with him as my lead back.

Pick 22. Mike Evans: The curious case of Mike Evans has baffled fantasy players for years now. The dude has elite WR1 potential, it either he doesn’t step up to the plate consistently or his QB play isn’t sufficient. No matter how you slice it Evans just hasn’t lived up to his potential. But the Tampa Bay acquisition of new head coach Bruce Arians (the offensive guru) gives prospective fantasy owners new hope. I’m feeling Evans as a sleeper WR1 this week.

Pick 23. George Kittle: Another TE goes in the first two rounds. Kittle is a fucking animal in the San Francisco system. Regardless of the QB he produces. I would rather have Kittle over guys like Allen, Thielen, and Mack.

Pick 24. Leonard Fournette: Much like Dalvin Cook, Fournette has had a roller coaster of a career, but for different reasons. Fournette looked like a future fantasy star and was drafted like it in 2018. Going top 10 in most drafts last year, Fournette let his fantasy owners down hardcore. But now with a new QB and a seemingly new outlook on his career, Fournette still has the skill set to be a top RB. Fournette is a sleeper for me this year. Late 2nd or 3rd round pick could turn into a 1st round Value.
