NFL Season Over/Under Picks Part 2

Here is round two of your over/under best bets for the entire season!

Atlanta Falcons: OVER 7.5

A lot of people will be surprised to read this, but here at GCF we are never afraid to be ahead of the curb when it comes to fantasy football or gambling. Atlanta had a terrible year last year mostly due to a terrible offensive line. These are facts. However, they quietly did some patch work on that O-Line this off season and will now start all former first round picks on the offensive line for the first time in franchise history. These guys aren’t the second coming of Joe Thomas, but they will help Matt Ryan stay off his ass. The offense is pretty much the same otherwise. Dynamic at times, but not trust worthy. And the defense is still an issue, and being tied for the fifth hardest schedule doesn’t make things any easier for the dirty birds. All that being said, the Falcons get to play the terrible Carolina Panthers twice this year and they will win those games. Then they have to find 6 wins somewhere else. With very winnable games against the Dolphins, Bengals, Jaguars, Raiders, Cowboys, Packers, and the Saints maybe not being as good as they once were in 2020; I really believe the Falcons can squeak out an 8-8 record and pay you out easily.

Carolina Panthers: UNDER 5.5

The Panthers will be an abysmal team in 2020. I’m not sure why they’re even set at 5.5 when the team is the poster child for future tank of the year. With a rookie head coach and a defense that is the definition of can’t stop a nose bleed, I have no idea who would spend money on this team to get 6 wins. With the 18th hardest schedule the Panthers have a shot to do it on that end, but with two many questions in defense, a totally unproven head coach, and a quarterback who hasn’t played on a team that wasn’t a championship contender in years, I see the Panthers going 4-12. Completely missing the mark and losing you money.

Detroit Lions: UNDER 6.5

This hurts to write as a supporter of the Detroit Lions, but this is the last year before all he’ll truly breaks lose in Detroit. I have always had a soft spot for the Lions. Growing up watching them play on Thanksgiving every year and seeing them almost be good, but never really taking it to the next level made me sympathetic towards them. Along with witnessing the terrible 0-16 season, I can’t help but root for them. Unfortunately, this year will not be the year for Detroit. With the 5th hardest schedule in the NFL and a defense that has more holes in it than the plot of the later seasons of The Office, I don’t see anyway where Stafford and company aren’t in the bottom three of the league this year. This is the year that sees Matt Patricia fired along with the whole front office. Stafford either traded or cut and the rebuild will begin, but might as well make some money out of it right? Bet the under boys.

Stay tuned for more GCF Fam and as always, We got your back!
