Week 3 Must Starts

We are back for Week 3 baby! With an over 91% success rate when it comes to our must start picks. Let’s dive right in shall we?

Ryan Tannehill QB @ Minnesota

Well, if you’re not a believer by now you will never be. Tannehill has led the Titans to a 2-0 record with an impressive total of 488 yards 6 touchdowns and no interceptions. This week he draws arguably the worst secondary in the NFC with the Vikings. The Titans are good and I think it’s safe to say that we can trust Tannehill at this point. I expect anywhere from 25 to 32 fantasy points from him this week.

Deshaun Watson QB @ Pittsburgh

Watson has not been what we expected him to be from a fantasy perspective this year. For his ADP of a fourth or fifth round pick especially. This week he gets another defensive matchup after going up against arguably the two best teams in the NFL. I think this is a big week for Watson and I expect him to put the team on his back and carry them to a victory. I expect 22 to 28 fantasy points from our guy Watson this week.

Jonathan Taylor RB vs NY Jets

That’s right GCF Fam, this is the third straight week we have our boy JT on the must start list. First week he was decent, but last week he showed us a glimpse of what his ceiling could be. He got 26 carries and turned those into 101 yards and a touchdown to go with 2 receptions. This week he gets a terrible NYJ defense that gives up big play after big play. I expect we see at least 20 fantasy points from Taylor this week.

Leonard Fournette RB @ Denver

Fournette was abandoned by so many fantasy “experts” it made our heads spin. We still liked him in week 1 but when he only got 5 carries even GCF laid off of him in week 2. Boy were we wrong. Fournette exploded for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 12 carries. This week I expect him to be a solid high end flex to low end RB2 scoring anywhere from 15 to 22 fantasy points.

James Robinson RB vs Miami

It looks like Robinson is here to stay. The undrafted rookie has amassed an impressive 164 yards and 2 touchdowns over the first two weeks of the season. Not bad for a guy who was number three in the depth chart at the beginning of the year. This week he gets a scrappy dolphins defense, but make no mistake this isn’t anything Robinson can’t handle. Go with him as your RB2 or Flex and expect 13 to 17 fantasy points this week.

Diontae Johnson WR vs Houston

Look what we have been telling you about Diontae for months now. He is the only Steeler that has received double digit targets in the offense and after week 3 I think everyone will really understand why. Johnson is a high end WR2 this week and I’m expecting anywhere from 14 to 20 fantasy points from him.

CeeDee Lamb WR @ Seattle

Lamb has his coming out party last week getting big targets and scoring 106 yards while taking it to the house for a touchdown. This week he gets a tough Seattle matchup but this Dallas offense is just getting started. I see Lamb getting targeted heavily this week and finding the end zone as well as racking up serious yardage. Expect 14 to 18 fantasy points from him.

Terry Mclaurin WR @ Cleveland

Scary Terry is one of our favorite starts this week. After a lackluster Week 1, Mclaurin put in work against Arizona. Catching 7 balls for 125 yards and a touchdown. I expect more of the same this week against a Browns defense that is mediocre at best. Expect 17 to 22 fantasy points.

Jonnu Smith TE @ Minnesota

Moral of the story: Jonnu Smith is the real deal. He is a must start from here on out regardless of matchup, but this week is an especially big one for our guy against the Vikings. Start him with confidence win your TE spot and give him serious consideration in your flex spots.

Mark Andrews TE vs Kansas City

Don’t let the down week fool you; Mark Andrews is still an elite tight end. This week he gets a solid matchup against a Kansas City defense that’s had trouble keeping the Chargers out of the end zone. Look for Andrews to find the end zone again this week and score anywhere from 10 to 17 fantasy points.

Good luck GCF Fam and as always, we got your back!
