Week 7 Must Starts

You know the deal GCF Fam. It’s the Week 7 must starts you absolutely need in your lineup. Go ahead and pop these guys into your lineup and R-E-L-A-X!

Ronald Jones RB Tampa Bay @ Las Vegas:

What more does RoJo have to do to earn your respect?! The man had a breakout game last week against Green Bay carrying the ball 23 times for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns. This week he gets a prime matchup against the Raiders who have serious trouble stopping the run. Fournette or no Fournette, RoJo is the guy in this offense. Plug him in your lineup with confidence and trust that he will put up high end RB@ numbers.

Antonio Gibson RB Washington VS Dallas

If you have been following GCF this season, you know we aren’t huge fans of Gibson. He has a nightmare playoff schedule and has underperformed the last two weeks especially. However, we are pivoting on our stance for this week only. Gibson has a premium matchup against a terrible Dallas defense who is having major issues with stopping the run. Did you see what Kenyan Drake did to them last week? Mckissic will have something to say about the carry totals, but we think Gibson will be the one finding the end zone this week. Look for Gibson to put up solid RB2 numbers and we consider him the perfect flex play going into Week 7.

David Johnson RB VS Green Bay

DJ has been on our radar for Must Starts for the past few weeks, and he has not disappointed yet. Sure, he hasn’t put up rock star numbers, but he has a solid chance to do that this week going against the worst run defense statistically in Green Bay. the Texan offense looked a lot better last week and DJ even found the end zone like we predicted. I think he breaks out this week and puts up monster numbers. Look for RB1 production from our guy DJ.

Tee Higgins/Tyler Boyd WRs Cincinnatti VS Cleveland

We absolutely love both of these receivers going into Week 7. Higgins and Boyd are the future in Cincinnati and they have been proving it all year long. I feel confident starting both in the same lineup even. Higgins is in the midst of a rookie of the year campaign and Boyd is proving that he is the number one option in this offense. Facing a terrible Browns secondary, these guys have insane potential to put up massive numbers. Look for both to put up high end WR2 numbers this week. Boyd may even get into WR1 categories.

Terry McLaurin WR Washington VS Dallas

Every week I tell you to start Terry and every week he does not disappoint. Outside of the giants game in Week 5, where he was still a little banged up Terry has put up solid WR2 numbers most of the year. This week he gets another premium matchup against Dallas. We feel supremely confident that Terry will put up insane numbers this week. The Dallas secondary got lit the hell up by the Cardinals last week and I expect Terry to play the Christian Kirk role this week. With even more talent than Kirk, look for Terry to put up excellent WR1 numbers and also look for him to finally find the end zone!

Diontae Johnson WR Pittsburgh @ Tennessee

First off, shout out Chase Claypool for holding it down while Johnson was out, but it’s Diontae time baby. The big dog is back and he is ready to remind the fantasy football community who the real Steelers receiver is. We like Juju and Claypool this week, but Diontae is the real play here. When he does play he is the most targeted receiver, especially down field. The Tennessee secondary is reeling and we expect high end WR@ numbers from Diontae. a lot of people are leaving him for dead, but that’s not going to be us at GCF.

T.J. Hockenson TE Detroit @ ATL

We touched on it in the last GCF Podcast (search Grand Central Fantasy anywhere you get your pods!), but it bares repeating. This is the week to start Hockenson. A prime matchup against Atlanta is exactly what he needs to keep his touchdown streak rolling. Plug him in and expect TE1 numbers.

Hunter Henry TE LAC vs Jacksonville

Henry has been one of the most disappointing fantasy prospects of the past few years. He was supposed to be the next Travis Kelce, but he hasn’t even came close to hitting that potential. This week though we absolutely love his matchup against Jacksonville. Look for him to put up low end TE1 numbers this week as we continues to build off of his strong showing in Week 5.

Ben Roethlisburger QB Pittsburgh @ Tennessee

We detailed it in our breakdown of why Diontae Johnson is a must start, so you already get the gist, but Big Ben could have a monster day this week with his offense finally back to full strength. Look for him to put up low end QB1 numbers.

Gardner Minshew II QB Jacksonville @ LAC

Minshew started off really slow last week, but ended up putting serviceable numbers in the end. This week he faces a LA secondary that has had more problems in the passing game. Look for Minshew to make some plays with his feet as well as his arm and put up a strong showing!

Lets get it GCF Fam! Good Luck this week!
