Week 12 Waiver Wire Targets

Taysom Hill (ESPN 84% Yahoo 43%)

I am not as keen starting him at QB as I am starting him at TE, but there is a case to be made. As a passer we saw a lot of short routes and screen plays. Where Hill made his living in Fantasy was his rushing attributes notching 2 scores with his feet. If for some reason your league lives under a rock or everyone had poor wifi connection and Hill is available in ESPN as a TE, he’s the top prize of the week. In all other Fantasy platforms he deserves a look as a streaming options for the next few weeks.

Derek Carr (ESPN 38% Yahoo 36%)

I mentioned Derek Carr’s upcoming schedule last week and how he’s a great streaming option moving forward. Hit the nail on the coffin with Carr throwing for 275 on 3 passing touchdowns against the reigning champs. Carr’s next 2 matchups are as smooth as buttah.

Kirk Cousins (ESPN 19% Yahoo 42%)

Captain Kirk warrants waiver wire status this week against the Panthers. Multiple TDs thrown in 5 of the last 6 games with 3 scores in 3 of them. He has been trending in the right direction but we know how that goes with Cousins. Tread lightly. YOU LIKE THAT!

Wayne Gallman (ESPN 34% Yahoo 54%)

Putting the trademark on Wayne Ballman because broski has been balling out. Before his bye week Ballman had 4 straight weeks of touchdowns and will look to continue the streak against the Bengals. Bengals have only given up 6 rushing touchdowns this year but have allowed the 4th most rushing yards on the season. Gallman should have a productive day in week 12 and moving forward he’s a solid RB to own. Ballman!

JK Dobbins (ESPN 49% Yahoo 63%)

Is it finally JK season!?!? The time may have come which we anticipated earlier but fuck it! JK led the backfield with 15 carries while Gus the Bus and old man Ingram combined for 5. With the 15 carries Dobbins looked flashy accruing 70 yards on the ground with a TD. Moving forward let’s pray that they continue to feed the talented rook. With Ingrams age showing, JKs only true competition for carries is the Bus. Let’s see how this plays out. Regardless I want Dobbins on all my rosters.

Salvon Ahmed (ESPN 42% Yahoo 64%)

With Breida active I was quite worried about Ahmed’s workload. Looking back there was no reason to be worried with Ahmed owning the backfield. Ahmed’s production as a runner was underwhelming but he caught 5 passes out of the and seems to be locked into the job, until Gaskins return(then god knows what happens). The Dolphins played behind and had issues from the QB position but I think week 12 against the Jets is just the right medicine for any offense.

Frank Gore (ESPN 9% Yahoo 10%)

We were told this was going to be the Perine movement moving forward and we didn’t see it due to an ankle injury. Gore on the day was given 15 carries averaging 4.1 yards per carry with a rushing TD. Gore looks like the guy to own now with Perine on the shelf for a few weeks. Gase man crush on Gore will certainly help his value.

James White (ESPN 36% Yahoo 40%)

Welcome back James White to fantasy relevance. It took quite some time but Cam Newton remembered he has a pretty good pass catching back on the roster. He was targeted 9 times on 6 catches but also was given the most carries he has seen in a game since week 1. With Burkhead done for the season, there is no reason why Whites workload shouldn’t increase. He’s a great add in PPR leagues if Cam continues to utilize him.

Curtis Samuel (ESPN 66% Yahoo 50%)

Samuels production and availability in leagues continues to increase. After waivers this week he should be almost on every leagues roster with yet again another solid performance. He finished as a WR1 against the Lions and has been the 6th best wideout in PPR since week 7. What in the blue blazes are you waiting for? Some procrastinated before you’re too late.

Nelson Agholor (ESPN 11% Yahoo 19%)

Agholor may be a challenging player to roster but one thing is clear, he plays a huge part in the Raiders passing game. Agholor now has 6 touchdowns on the season after a great outing Sunday night. That’s right people, 6 TDs! That’s in the same company as Keenan Allen, Calvin Ridley and Will Fuller to name a few. He’s available in at least 80% of leagues and faces the Falcons this week. Not a bad flex option if needed.

Michael Pittman (ESPN 24% Yahoo 44%)

Tweeted about how I been on top of Pittman for weeks now. Go back before our season started and I expressed confidence in Pittman as a potential top target for Rivers and the Colts. When I am right I gotta led the world know because when I am wrong the world let’s me know. Pittman didn’t hit a grand slam this week, more like a double. Doubles are solid and sometimes doubles win games. 3 catches 66 yards and a sweet TD on the day for the rookie wideout. He’s healthy, hungry and I’m the midst of a playoff race. Love this kid and love what the future of this season has in store for him. You better roster him if your WR depth is weak sauce.

Damiere Byrd (ESPN 1% Yahoo 2%)

Byrd went off this week against the Texans finishing 2nd with the most receiving yards in the league. Where did this come from? Well if you look at the stats, he’s actually been somewhat productive on the year despite the not so great passing play of the Patriots. Moving forward I still prefer Jakobi Meyers as the top pass catcher for the Patriots but in deeper formats he’s worth some attention.

Corey Davis (ESPN 47% Yahoo 51%)

Just when the wind blows Corey Davis away it gusts right back into fantasy relevance. Davis led the way for Titans receivers with Brown struggled to hold onto a few balls. 5 catches on 113 yards, not too shabby against Baltimore. Week 12 is a matchup where you don’t even look Davis’s way in your starting lineups. Do your homework and look beyond. Weeks 13-15 are where if needed Davis could be an option. He is a guy in a above average offense that should be owned and he’s available in half of leagues.

Breshad Perriman (ESPN 14% Yahoo 11%)

Perriman health his whole career has derailed him and earlier on it was much of the same with the Jets. People are quickly forgiving him though as he has caught life the past few weeks. While he had just 2 catches on 54 yards and a TD, I personally watched his route running and seen him beat several defenders. He looks locked and loaded with some good matchups ahead. He’s rosterable in deeper formats and possibly trending more toward 12 team leagues. His counterpart Denzel Mims is another guy to check in on as he has looked fantastic since returning.

Jordan Reed (ESPN 13% Yahoo 15%)

What year is it? Jordan Reed rising from the dead and potentially on your roster. 2020, am I right? Reeds last game in week 10 showed why he is valuable. He was targeted 6 times and brought down 5 of them for 62 yards. Now we aren’t jumping up and down for hot crowning champions but he is being targeted and relied on with Kittles season likely done. Week 12 he faces the Rams who are subpar against tight ends but I’m really keeping my eyes on his week 13 matchup against the Bills. That’s a game where a lot of us are desperately going to need to clinch a playoff spot.

Robert Tonyan (ESPN 33% Yahoo 46%)

Tonyan was never one of my guys but give credit when credits due. His availability percentage has dropped the past few weeks but should see an increase now after a nice fantasy stat sheet against the Colts. With the Packers getting healthier by the day, this could open up the field more for the big guy.
