Tee Higgins 2021 Fantasy Outlook

There’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Ja’Marr Chase. Burrow to Chase back together and it feels so good right? Despite the Bengals opting out of drafting offensive lineman they decided to pick up quite possibly the best receiver in the draft. What does this do to Tee Higgins Fantasy value?

Many moons ago Burrow to Higgins was the hot topic. From weeks 3-10 Tee Higgins found himself in low end WR1 category. That’s as a rookie folks. I mention until week 10 for the unfortunate reason of poor little Joeys leg. Higgins stock was on the motherclucking rise and then poof! From week 11 on Higgins was basically unstartable finishing outside the top 40.

With the Tiger King back, as well as Chase in the lineup, where does this leave Higgins? Will he be fighting for targets behind Chase? Let’s not forget Tyler Boyd who has been consistent in the Bengals offense for sometime, averaging close to 1,000 yards and over 80 grabs the past 3 seasons. That’s with dirt QB play for a large majority.

I’m here to tell you Higgins can thrive with his 2 co-wideouts and here’s why. Last season the trio of Higgins, Boyd and Green all exceeded the 100 target mark. With AJ Greens senior citizen ass out the door that opens up targets which should translate similar to the amount Chase should handle.

Assuming Joe Burrow comes back healthy, Higgins will make Fantasy managers very happy. The Bengals drafting Chase definitely is a dagger to Higgins overall value but I currently have Higgins as a High end WR3/flex play. Moral of the story if you are drafting Higgins you will be starting him every. single. week. Buy the dip if it’s still there come draft time.
