Quincy Enuwa inks 4 year extension

Quincy Enuwa won’t be hitting the open market as he signed a 4 year $36 million deal to stay in green and white. The deal is for $20 million guaranteed. “I knew when I got here that I wanted to be a Jet for a very long time.”

The Jets made it a priority to get this deal done before the offseason. This tells me they are very high on the big solid target. In my opinion he received a very generous contract. When Enuwa is on the field and healthy, he is a hard man to cover. His body resembles a tight end but his play style is of a possession receiver. I feel it was smart for Enuwa to cash in now. With his lengthy list of injuries he might not of received as high of a guaranteed contract. Nonetheless this is a deal that both sides wanted to iron out.

Enuwa and Darnold enjoy working with each other. “Sam is an amazing player and as a receiver that’s who you want to play with. And we have so much talent around at every position. I’ve been here for so long and this is what I know and this is what I’ve come to love and I want to continue that.” Enuwa clearly wants to continue and be a part of what the Jets are building. He fits the mold of a productive WR2. If the Jets can some how bring in a top tier receiver this offseason, it will greatly increase Enuwa’s stat line. Congrats to the big man and glad he’s staying put in NY!”!
