More Week 2 Preseason Takeaways

Curtis Samuel is being talked a lot in fantasy football drafts. He has an ADP of 94 and is one of Cams favorite targets. Against Buffalo a few days ago he showed off his excellent route running and why the 23 year old is poised for a big year. His quickness and direction changing was evident as well. Great value pick here.

Ito Smith is a name I’ve brought up several times this off season. After a mediocre first game Ito made his presence felt with a few big yardage plays in the rushing and passing game. He also ran a 4 yard carry for a score. With Tevin Coleman no longer a Falcon and Devonta Freeman taking a step back, Ito is poised to be a solid fantasy contributor.

James Washington is tearing it up this preseason. He leads the NFL in receiving yards(mostly against backups) and has been picked as a deep sleeper by many. He has raked against 2nd and 3rd stringers but this is relevant because we still don’t know who will start opposite to JuJu at the WR spot. His top competition Donte Moncrief is having an awful preseason, making the case for James to be a fantasy contributor as a late round pick.

Let’s stay on the Steelers trend and take a look at Jaylen Samuels. There has been a lot of talk of lessening the load for James Connor. Samuel should eat into his carries and can be deployed in several different offensive sets. He hasn’t hurt himself this preseason with the limited carries he has, going 4 for 26 with a touchdown. He looks great and his schedule looks even greater this year as it is rb friendly. His ADP is 139, get him while you can.
